  • This is probably not appropriate here, but... We know the attention that sports/athletes get in this country. Someone on a Ning board said he was watching a "national signing day" event on ESPN and he said we should do something like that for engineers. It got me thinking that this is a great idea. There are very smart kids at the best high schools that the Ivies fight for. We could ID one or two of these kids and then maybe somehow feature them in some short (three minute) docu-short on what goes into their decision to choose a college. it could be set up with all the drama of the next star QB picking his college.

  • This is a basic, easy-to-understand "trifold" that is great in its simplicity. If you're a parent who doesn't know fact 1 about engineering, this gives some nuts-and-bolts stuff so that you can at least begin to talk to your kids about what engineering is.

  • Wow...that is a very articulate and insightful comment. We've lost her to the humanities, no doubt. :-)

  • This ad combines a lot of great stuff - how engineers do serious and fun stuff (even if the fun stuff here is a bit silly), showing young kids getting excited about a form of engineering, and of course, a level of coolness that has allowed it to go viral with a great message. I never get tired of watching this.

  • Advertisement It is an ad for a magazine subscription, showing only two young (nerdy) white boys. Our network - N:Changing II Toolkit\advertisment - make magazine "They both look nerdy, though I believe one only unintentionally. One boy has the classic horn-rimmed glasses on, one can assume to - curiously - only exacerbate nerdiness.
